PELLA — After an employee of the Pella Corporation’s headquarters received a potential threat Tuesday, campuses were locked down for more than two hours.
A press release from the Pella Police Department says the threat was reported to law enforcement at 10:21 a.m. Tuesday. The company placed its campuses in a lockdown and law enforcement tracked down a person of interest in Mahaska County.
The threat was ultimately determined to be not credible, and the lockdown at Pella Corporation was lifted at approximately 12:50 p.m.
The Pella Police Department saidthe lockout measures were taken out of an abundance of caution, and there was no immediate risk to the community.
