On behalf of all the faculty and staff of Harmony Community Schools, we would like to express our appreciation for the support of the parents and community through the events of the last couple of weeks. We are especially appreciative of the “thank you” luncheon provided Friday, October 27, for all staff by a parent group. We would thank each individual person if we knew who they were.
Hillary Clinton, quoting from an old African proverb, said “It takes a village to raise a child.” When the students see us working together, it models for them what it means to be a part of a community. For the parents and clergy who were available to lend an ear, a shoulder, or a hug — thank you. As the healing process continues, there will be many occasions our students, your children, will need the solid foundation we can provide by continuing to work together. The way we have all supported each other has truly been a blessing.
In addition, we have been amazed by the outpouring of generosity shown to the Harmony community. Although we haven’t been able to thank everyone who reached out to us, each kindness was noted and appreciated. We try to impress upon our students the need to focus on the positives, because it is those things that enable us to endure and heal.
Sincerely,
Harmony Faculty and Staff
Farmington
