MOUNT PLEASANT – Gavin Van Veen and Brady McWhirter each placed in the top 10 for the Fairfield boys while Kelsey Pacha and Carley Seeley paced the Fairfield girls to a third-place finish among the large schools running at the Mount Pleasant Invitational on Tuesday.
OTTUMWA — Ottumwa High School has canceled this Friday's home varsity football game with Cedar Rapids Prairie, resulting in a forfeit loss for the Bulldogs.
BURLINGTON – Less than two weeks ago, Nate Speer and Cale Leonard battled it out for 18 holes with the final putts on the final green ultimately determining who came out on top.
PELLA – Some of the top cross country runners in the state and bordering states made their way to the Central College cross country course on Saturday for Pella’s 16th Annual Heartland Classic. Over 1,000 athletes from 43 different schools showed up for the event including Pella.

OTTUMWA – Trailing by one standing in the fairway on the 18th hole, Nate Spear knew he needed to a quality approach shot in order to have a chance at tying or winning birdie.
ANKENY – Cale Leonard came within a stroke of earning consecutive meet medalist titles in consecutive meets to open his senior season of Ottumwa High School boys golf.
OTTUMWA – Before they were finishing their high school careers representing Ottumwa for the first time since 2006 in the Class 4A state baseball tournament, many Bulldog senior standouts were getting their first taste of playing on a big stage right in their own hometown.
