DECATUR, Ill. — The Indian Hills golf team showed their consistency on Saturday at the Big Blue Spring Classic.

The Warriors were up two strokes to start the second round Saturday on the par 72 course in Decatur, Ill.

The Warriors not only won the tournament, but they extended their lead to beat out second-place Millikin University, 594 to 600.

Justin Weber tied for third place as an individual with a two-round total of 147, just two strokes behind medalist Wes Hillen of Milliken.

Cameron Munro and Kurt Slattery tied for fifth place with 148s, while Dan Dawson came in 11th with a 151. Matt Solis rounded out the Warrior production with a 160 two-round total.

The team victory is just the first of the season for the Warriors, who have flirted with first place in nearly every tournament, but until now they were never able to get over the hump.

The Warriors will be back in action on the April, 19 when they host the Community 1st Credit Union Invite.
