EDDYVILLE — Nolan Stetter led off the bottom of the eighth inning with a solo home run, lifting the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont High School baseball team to an 8-7 win over Class 1A fifth-ranked Southeast Warren.
The Rockets (19-10) squandered a 6-0 lead through three innings by allowing Southeast Warren to score five times in the top of the seventh to take a 7-5 lead.
EBF tied it in the seventh, then won it in the eighth.
"It shows a lot of this team to lose that lead, come back and tie it and then win it," EBF coach Tom Hallgren said. "That is what being tough and being a competitor is."
Adam LaRue picked up the win in relief, tossing 1 1/3 innings of hitless baseball.
Stetter and Jaden Herr each had two hits apiece, while Stetter and Austin Johnson had two RBIs apiece.
EBF visits Pella Christian Tuesday.
