MORAVIA — A Moravia native has been promoted to the group sales manager position for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kurt Whitlow received the promotion last October after being in the Chiefs organization as one of their top salesmen for six years.
Whitlow is a 1999 graduate of Moravia High School. While in high school, Whitlow participated in sports as well as FFA.
He was with the Des Moines Bucaneers hockey team from May 2005-December 2007 as the ticket sales, merchandise director and advertising manager.
He started with the Chiefs in December of 2007 as an account executive. He was promoted to senior account executive in January of 2013 before being promoted to group sales manager in October 2013.
Whitlow is the son of the late Larry and Judy Whitlow. He is brothers with Denny, the current head football and wrestling coach at Moravia, and Joseph Whitlow.
