OSKALOOSA — Drew Martin scored on a fielder's choice, and Kosta Papazogolou scored on a passed ball, and the eighth-ranked (Class 3A) Fairfield High School baseball team rallied in the seventh inning for a 2-1 victory over Oskaloosa.

Ryan Yates' single in the opening inning gave the Indians a 1-0 lead and held up until the final inning. It was the only hit of the game against the pitching combination of Papazogolou and Elan Ledger. Papazogolou struck out 13 and walked four in 6 2/3 innings.

Papazogolou also had two of the Trojans' four hits, while Austin Simpson and Cole Engle had the others.

Cardinal 18, Moravia 2 (4)

MORAVIA — The Comets pounded out 20 hits in a four-inning win over the Mohawks.

Cardinal scored nine times in the fourth inning, after scoring nine runs in the first two innings of the game.

Blaine Bryant and Jarrett Rea each drove in four runs for Cardinal, while Cameron Honomichl scored three times and drove in three runs. Bryant, Honomichl, Rea and Dawson Lewis all had three hits.

Landon Becker pitched four innings to get the win, striking out six and walking five. He allowed just one hit.
