BLOOMFIELD — Veledena Mae (Wilty) Miller, 82, of Harlingen, TX, formerly of Bloomfield, died Monday, March 27, 2006, at the Retama Manor of Harlingen.

She was born June 9, 1924 in Huron, South Dakota to James David Reaves and Ethel Merle Nickelson. On February 22, 1942 she married Richard (Dick) George Wilty in Unionville, MO. They resided on a farm near Mark, IA and enjoyed traveling until his death on May 30, 1992. She then married Harold Miller on November 17, 1993 in Port Isabel, TX.

Veledena was a former member of the Savannah Christian Church.

Veledena is survived by her husband, Harold Miller of Harlingen, TX; a daughter, Georgia and her husband, Jim Botts of Holts Summit, MO; and a granddaughter, Angela Botts of Boston, MA. Also surviving are a step-son, Andy and his wife, Diane Miller of Poulsbo, WA; and a step-granddaughter, Anita and her husband, Berry Mathis and their sons of Roseville, CA.

A memorial service of remembrance will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March, 31, 2006, in the small Chapel of the Bloomfield Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. James Wakelin.

A memorial has been established in her name to the Davis County Lord’s Cupboard and may be sent to 107 N. Davis St., Bloomfield, IA, 52537.
